To install the stage 3 S55 or B58 fuel pump
- Remove the retaining c-clip from the post that has the spring. This allows you to remove the top hat from the bucket.
- Then install the bucket into the tank (lower venturi connection, etc).
- Next, slide the bucket over to gain access to the metal plate where the pump should slide down onto. This requires nothing to secure. The weight of the pump and the size of the tank keeps it in place.
- Make the fuel line connection and the wiring connections.
- Slide the pump back into position
- Align the top hat posts with the positions on the bucket that they came out of and install the top hat (making sure the spring is still on the correct post). You do not need to re-install the retaining clip.
- Re-install the locking ring, fuel lines, and connectors on the top hat.
Secondary pump activation harness
- Install ring terminals on the battery (red for positive, black for ground)
- route harness to the fuel pump top hat and make connection with large two pin connector.
- Use the test plug int the 4-pin connector to ensure everything is working properly and no leaks. You can now remove the test plug. I recommend leaving it under the back seat or in the glove box in case it is needed later.
- Now route the negative trigger harness from the 4-pin connector to the front of the car
- If using the included pressure switch install the switch into the charge pipe or intake manifold in a 1/8" NPT bung using Teflon tape
- If using a Reflex or BM3 REV2 then route to where the controller is located at and use these instructions for connecting to the controller . https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0540/5596/0769/files/201-0049_-_Install_Guide_v3.pdf?v=1733242511
