After installation of G8x AFS there is a CEL for low fuel pressure even during operation.
Caused by AFS not supplying fuel to rails when not in boost since the Adjustable regulator does not hold pressure when pumps are off.
Car operates normally beside Low or No fuel pressure warning.
Fixes to remove CEL:
1. Turn off MHD Safety in the program. (Tuner will have to turn it off)
2. Run pumps constantly to keep pressure in line. (Can cause pumps to degrade faster being at 100% duty cycle when car is on) Also, will need to install a solid state relay with a flyback diode otherwise the relay will heat excessively and possibly cause the connector on the pump activation harness to melt.
3. If one of the pumps has a check valve on a dual pump set up it is possible to have a tuner to adjust one of the pumps to work at a 20% duty cycle until demanded 100%. This is done to keep line pressure in the auxiliary lines and rail.
(We do not know specifics on how tuners achieve this and customer would have to work with their tuner to figure this out)
