MK7 Stage 2 Fuel Pressure Drops (FWD/AWD)

Issue: Fuel pressure will drop extremely low and in some cases cause the car to stall out.

Usually caused by the o-ring unseating from the filter element, causing a leak in the system.

This is because the Walbro 267 used in the stage 2 build is shorter than a 450 or 535, and when pressure in the system

is increased it can push the pump down causing the o-ring to protrude out of the filter element.

Resolution:

The pump needs to have zip ties ran underneath it and secured to the filter element. Use 3 8 inch zip ties chained together or any zip tie long enough to wrap around the pump and filter element. The zip ties will run under the pump, and around the top of the filter element where the pump neck is installed into the filter element. Pull the zip ties tight to prevent the pump from pushing out of the filter during high pressure situations.
