I installed your fuel pump and now I get a fuel pump shadow code!

On N54 and N55 BMW vehicles this is VERY common.  These codes are 2AAE and 2AAF.  Basically this is an error that is saying that the car thinks something is wrong with the fuel pump because it is drawing more current than what the car expects.  These codes do not cause any harm and can simply be ignored, however if you wish you are welcome to code them out using something like ProTools, as they have something called the "Voltage Fix" that essentially changes the threshold for this error check.
